CAHOON SARANAC - Theron S. Cahoon, 70, died early Saturday morning at his 268 Orchard street home following a long illness. He was born February 4,1896 in Keene township the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cahoon. He attended school in the Saranac area and was married to Iva Rickert December 23, 1935. Shortly after their marriage they moved to a farm near Saranac where they lived until nine years ago. He was a veteran of World War I and member of American Legion and the Grange. Surviving in addition to his wife, Iva, are two sons; Richard of Saranac and Rex at home; three daughters, Mrs. Naurine Sloane of Haslett, Mrs. Janice Kelly of Saranac, Mrs. Connie Wood of Wyoming; nine grandchildren, two brothers, Paul and Corwin of Saranac; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Simmons of Dundee, Mrs. Ethel Johnson of Delaware, Ohio and Mrs. Maxine Campagner of Saranac and several neices. Two Grandchildren preceded him in death. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac. Rev. Donald Mathis of Clarksville and interment will be in Saranac cemetery.
