                            GLADYS J.CAHOON

SARANAC - Gladys J. Cahoon, 79, died Sunday in Ionia Manor.

She was born in Saranac Oct. 6,1904, the daughter of Miles and Gertrude Jepson 
Dodds.

She graduated from Saranac High School in 1922 and attended Davenport College in 
Grand Rapids.

She was employed at Fox's Jewelry Store in Grand Rapids.

She married Eugene Cahoon in 1925, and he preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a member of the Saranac Community Church and the daughters of the 
American Revolution.

Surviving are one son, Gary of Grand Rapids; one daughter, Gay Cowels of 
Lansing; one brother, Hugh Dodds of Saranac; one sister Katherine Feasel of 
Saranac; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac, with the Rev.Edwin Mendenhall officiating.

Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home today from 
2-4 p.m and 7-8:30 p.m..

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Parkinsons Foundation.
