Don Cahoon Dies Near St. Johns

Don L. Cahoon, 33, of Saranac, was found dead in his car Saturday near rural
Dewitt, by Clinton county Sheriff’s deputies.  The cause of death was listed as
asphyxiation.

Born in May, 1927, at Saranac, he is survived by his wife, and parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Sheldon L. Cahoon, also of Saranac, one brother, Lee of Saranac; two
sisters, Mrs. Helen Huhn of LeGrange, Ill., and Mrs. Anita Miller, of Saranac.

Funeral services were held at the Morris Funeral Home in Saranac Tuesday at 2:30
p.m. with the Reverend Howard Bull of Saranac officiating.  Pallbearers were
Herb Possehn, Larry Cahoon, Fred Cahoon, Robert Herrick, Cecil Gladding and John
Cooper.  Burial was in the Saranac Cemetery.
