She was born on January 9, 1870 in Canada and was married there to J. Cain. In 1900 She came to Ionia, where she worked for several years in the T.A. Carten store in the dry goods department. Her later years were spent doing practical nursing. She was a member of the SS. Peter and Paul church in Ionia. Survivors are one son, Thomas A. Cain of Detroit; two brothers, John and Frank Carten, Ionia; and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Watcha of Orleans, Mrs. Summers of Detroit, and Mrs. Minnie Krupp of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held from the SS. Peter and Paul church Monday morning at 9 o’clock. Subsequent Publication: Monday, May 3, 1937 Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Cain, who died Friday night, April 30, were held Monday morning at 9 o’clock at SS. Peter and Paul church, with Rev. Fr. J. V. Coyle officiating, and interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Bearers were Dan Slowinski, George Slowinski, Louis Agostini, Floyd Macklem, Michael Kawalski and Fred Wortman. Relatives attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cain of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Summers of Detroit, Mrs. Minnie Krupp of Grand Rapids, Dr. C. Krupp of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cain of Flint, and Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Waldron of Flint.
