Belding Banner, Wednesday, 30 May 1917
James Gore received word last week of the death of his brother-in-law, John 
Cain at East Rochester, New York.  Mr. Cain was fifty-eight years old.  He 
married Catherine Gore and they lived here on the old farm for a few years 
leaving here about twenty-five years ago.  Since that time they have resided 
in East Rochester.  Mr. Cain was stricken with typhoid pneumonia. Beside his 
wife he leaves two sons and two daughters.  The deceased was a good citizen 
and successful business man.
