Lake Odessa Wave
          TWO OLD RESIDENTS DIE HERE SUDDENLY
                                      --------
      IRVEN CAIN AND JAY MERRILL, FARMER RESIDENTS, ONE FALLS 
     FROM ROOF OF BARN, RECEIVES NJURIES, OTHER DROPS DEAD.
                                       --------
   Irven Cain whose farm home is west of town was doing some repair work on his barn
roof last Thursday when he missed his footing and fell to the ground receiving injuries 
which resulted in his death on Friday.
   The funeral was very largely attended at the Dunkard church near the Cain home on
Sunday afternoon.  The services were in charge of Elder Ben Brovont assisted by his son 
Henry.  Burial was at Lakeside.
   Mr. Cain was 74 years of age and leaves beside hi wife, a son Thad at home and a
daughter Jessie at Lansing.  A brother Frank Cain who formerly lived here now resides 
in Detroit.
