Ionia Sentinel Standard, 14 Jun 1971

Mrs. Mida Mae Calkins, 84, died Sunday morning at Ionia Manor where she had been
a patient three months following a lengthy illness.  She was born December 10,
1886 at Belding, the daughter of Fred and Ella Riker Hoadley.  November 25,
1908, she was married to George S. Calkins who died April 8, 1968.

She is survived by a brother, Gerald Robinson of Ionia; four sisters, Mrs.
Albert Peterson of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Clyde North and Mrs. LeRoy Fuller of
Ionia, and a step-sister, Mrs. Ralph Smith of McBride.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 pm at Stone-Kauffman funeral home in
Ionia with Rev. Chester Erickson officiating.  Interment will be at Easton
cemetery.  Bearers will be Dale and Louis Peterson, Thomas Robinson, Gerald
Robinson, Jr., James Struble, Sr., and Glenn Player.
