SHERIDAN- Rex P. Calkins, 79, lifelong resident of Fenwick area, died Tuesday at
United Memorial Hospital.

A former employe of Carnation Milk Co., Mr. Calkins retired in 1958. He was born
July 22, 1889. In 1920, he was married to Florence Doane, who survives.

Surviving alo are five daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Maude) Waldorf and Mrs. Nelson
(Lucille) Hoisington, Greenville, Mrs. Lyle (Norma) Minikey and Mrs. William (Marie) Olsen,
Sheridan and Mrs. Dale (Kathleen) Pearson and Mrs. Donald (Carrie)Minikey, Fenwick; a sister,
Mrs. Beth Walter, Sheridan; three brothers, Elmo Hoy, of Lake Odessa, and Reuby and
Glenn, Ionia; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Stebbins Funeral Home, Sheridan.
Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery, near Fenwick.
