The Ionia Standard, Friday, December 1, 1916

Mrs. George Humphreys is home from Chicago, where she attended the funeral of 
her brother, J. Callaghan, who died there after a short illness.  Deceased was 
quite well known to numerous Ionians, having lived and visited here.  He 
leaves to mourn his death, his aged father, two sons and three daughters, and 
five sisters; also one brother, who came from Everett, Washington, to attend 
the funeral.
