SOPHIA CALLOW Mrs. Peter Chirstiansen of Ionia has received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Sophia Callow, 78, former Ionia resident, who died Saturday in a hospital in Long Beach, Calif., where she had been a patient for ten days. She had lived in Long Beach for more than 20 years. Sophia Bluemly, daughter of Frederick and Rosina Bluemly, was born in Easton township and was the fourth of a family of 11 children. She was married to Ted Callow of Ionia about 50 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Callow built and operated the Callow house which was later known as the Reed Inn at Main and Dexter street. It has been torn down in recent years and a service stations has been built on that site. Mr. Callow died about seven years ago. Among her survivors are the sister, Mrs. Peter Christiansen, and a niece Mrs. Wayne Dreger, both of Ionia. Her body will be placed in the mausoleum at Long Beach beside her husband.
