Former Ionia resident, Helen A. Cameron, 82, of Newberry, died Tuesday 
afternoon, March 25, 2014, at her residence.  Helen was born Nov. 18, 1931, in 
Ionia, daughter of the late Ora and Martha (Adrian) Tingley.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her son, Douglas 
Almy; and siblings, Jen Lamphere, Marion Meirs, Vernon Tingley and Clarabelle 
Wood.

Survivors include her children, Richard Almy and friend Barb; Kip (Jean) 
Cameron and Kevin (Jennifer) Cameron, all of Newberry, and Deb DePuc of Palo; 
12 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Lem 
Tingley, Bob Tingley, Gladys Colley, Betty Odeet, Marvin Wood, Sonny Tingley 
and Ann Ladner.

Per her request, cremation services were accorded and a celebration of her life 
will place in the fall of 2014 at the Cameron Bear Camp.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated to a charity and/or an 
organization at a later date.  Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry is assisting 
the family.
