Bridge St., Thursday, November 3, were held at the Fitzjohn Funeral home, Sunday afternoon, at 2:30. Rev. Fred W. Gunther of the Baptist church officiated and interment was in River Ridge cemetery. Mr. Camp came to Belding about 42 years ago, and applied to F. W. Howard, then superintendent of the Belding Brothers silk mills, for work. He was given a chance by Mr. Howard, and soon became his right-hand man. Whenever Mr. Howard wanted anything done the horse and buggy brought to the mill for him, or any one of a hundred other things done, he delegated Mr. Camp to look after the matter, and promptly dismissed the thing from his own mind, knowing that "Doc" as he was called, would see to it. He remained in Mr. Howard's employ until Mr. Howard's death several years ago.
