Portland Observer, 18 Dec 1901

The three-year-old son of Joseph Campbell, east of town, died of membraneous 
croup last Friday morning.  The death was sudden and a great blow to the 
parents.  The lad was a bright little fellow and had never before been sick a 
day in his life.  The parents have the sympathy of many friends.
