Ionia County News, 30 Dec 1927

The body of Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell, former resident, was brought to Portland 
from [unreadable word] Monday for interment in the [unreadable word] cemetery.  
Mrs. Campbell, who was 78, was the widow of [unreadable word] Campbell, a 
prominent citizen of Portland, who was drowned in Grand River while attempting to 
make repairs on the old Warren? dam.  The accident happened in the early 90’s.
