Campbell Jr., 76, of Roosevelt Park, formerly of Belding, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at his home. He was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Alba, the son of Clayton Sr. and Edith Glass Campbell. Clayton was a veteran of World War II and the Korean ar. He later graduated from Kalamazoo College. He was a member of Belding Masonic Lodge 355 F&AM, Belding Historical Society and Clan Campbell Society of North America. Clayton was very proud of his Scottish heritage. He married Sallie Saunders on Aug. 20, 1951 in Greenville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie Campbell, on Oct. 28, 1998; and his parents. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Clayton and Karen Campbell of Canton, Ill., Melissa and Don Miller of Norton Shores; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law; Don and Ruth Campbell of Naples, Fla. Masonic funeral services are 11 am Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral home, Belding. Interment is in River Ridge Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the service at Belding Masonic Temple. Visitation is 6 to 8 pm today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alvah N. Belding Library or Belding Historical Society.
