The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 23, 1987
Samuel J. Campbell, 54, of 10700 Hillman NW, Lakeview, died March 21.  He was 
born September 15, 1932, the son of Maxwell and Esther Zimmer Campbell.  

Retired from the Detroit Police Department, he was currently serving as 
bailiff in Montcalm Circuit Court.  

Surviving are his wife Julia; three sons, Maxwell of Warren, Erich of 
Greenville and Samuel of San Antonio, Texas; four daughters, Deborah Holland 
of Detroit, Marion Bell and Sue Hill of Warren, and Eva Campbell of Lakeview; 
18 grandchildren; his mother, Esther Zimmer Campbell of Muir; a stepsister, 
Helen Campbell of Belding; two brothers, Edgar Plummer of Irvine, California, 
and Stanley Campbell of Belding; and one sister, Hattie Trierweiler of 
Portland.  

Cremation is planned.  Private graveside services will be held in Portland 
Cemetery at 12 noon Saturday.
