Mr.Campbell was born in Williamston on Aug.17, 1917, the son of the late Claude and Ida Glaser Campbell. He attended the Williamston Schools and served with the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Sheridan Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Lena; one son, James, of Ionia; one daughter, Mrs.Richard (Claudia) Stemler, of Ionia; four grandchildren and one great- grandson. Also surviving are four sisters,Mrs.Kenneth (Rosemarie) Van Ostran, Mrs.Ronald (Agnes) Dexter, and Mrs.Mack (Jeanette) Phelp, all of Williamston, and Mrs.Kenneth (Helen) Schuchaskie of Webberville; three stepsons; two step- daughters; 21 step grandchilden; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Officiating at the funeral mass was the Rev.Paul Johnson. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Additional Comments: Sunset Memorial Gardens Cem.
