Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 28 May 1941

Mrs. Mary Canfield, 81, died Tuesday, May 27, at the home of her sister, Mrs. 
Ingham Goodwin, in Orange township following an illness of a few days.  She fell 
last week and injured her hip and suffered severe shock.  Born on a farm south of 
Lyons January 6, 1860, she has lived most of her life in this vicinity.  She has 
made her home with her sister since last June when her husband died.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 p.m. from SS. Peter and Paul 
church in Ionia.  Rev. Fr. Fons will officiate.
