Lyons Herald, 28 Feb 1907

Wilbur H. Canfield died at his home east of Lyons Sunday, February 24, 1907.  
He was born in New York state October 25, 1826, and came to Ionia county in 
1839.  On March 2, 1855, he was married to Mary M. Runyan, five children being 
born to them, three of whom are now living.

In 1852 deceased purchased the farm on which he died and for over 50 years was 
counted as one of our best citizens.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the home, being conducted by Rev. H. E. Wylie.  
Interment in Lyons cemetery.
