After a heart attack Oct. 18 he was taken to Eaton Rapids hospital where he received treatment until he was returned home 10 days later. He was boron in Montcalm county and was 63 years, 6 months and 12 days old. He was employed at Gibson’s for 10 years and at Extruded Metals five years. He was also engaged in painting and decorating. He married Grace Annis Kennedy Sept. 5, 1927. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, (Dora) Mrs. John Herntz, of Eaton Rapids; one son, Otto, of this city, and one step-daughter, Rita Kennedy, at home; one sister, Mrs. Al. Brand, Ionia; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 o’clock at the Ellis Funeral Home, Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating, with burial in River Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers were Leo Bannister, Seth Russell, Milton Nickel, Merley McClow, Bert Gregg and Ronald Parks.
