Daily Sentinel - Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1945

William Cannon, 84, 122 Lytle street, died at the Ionia County Memorial 
hospital Wednesday  morning after a short illness.

He is survived by a daughter, Miss Loretta Cannon of Ionia, and a brother, 
Hugh Cannon, of Florida.

He was born May 9, 1867 at Niles and spent his childhood there. December 6, 
1887 he married Mary Pinkham and lived in Niles until 1893 when they moved 
to Ionia. He was a traveling salesman for 50 years for a tobacco company and 
retired in 1940.

Funeral services will be held from the Stone funeral home Saturday at 2 
o'clock with the Rev. Henry (Unreadable last name) officiating. Interment 
will be at Highland Park cemetery.
