Lawrence H. Carabelli, aged 79, of Ionia, passed away Dec. 16, 2007 in Grand 
Rapids.

He was born Nov. 20, 1928 in Detroit the son of Mario and Mary Carabelli. He 
married Irene Dzieczkowski March 15, 1969. She preceded him in death Nov. 6, 
2007. Lawrence was a Army Veteran serving in the Korean War as a Corporal.

He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Charles) Mayle of Ionia; grandchildren 
Jason (Cindy) Mayle of Ionia and Vaughn (Shoni) Mayle of Ionia and great-
grandchildren Justin, Jenna, Jordan and Russell.  He was preceded in death by 
his parents and one brother, Louis.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in 
Detroit. Visitation will be on Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia.
