Mrs.Cardinal was born May 21, 1914 the daughter of Mr.and Mrs.Louis Steig at Reed City and was married to Kenneth Cardinal September 18, 1933 in Grand Rapids. The couple lived in the city 20 years and 14 years at the present address. She was a member of the Reed City Methodist Church and had been employed at Gibson's. Left to mourn their loss are her husband and four sons, Richard, Gene, Gerald and one year old Thomas, all of the children at home. She also had three sisters,Mrs.Ethel Wile of Pontiac, Mrs. Gertrude Squires and Mrs Francis Withrow of Reed City three brothers, Howard, Reo and Glendon of Reed city and a half brother and half sister, Ronald Schawe and Mr.Dorothy Chase of Grand Rapids. A prayer service was held at Ellis Funeral Home Saturday evening at 9 o'clock with Rev. Lester Clough leading the service after which the remains were removed to Reed City where a funeral service was conducted at McDowell's Chapel at 2 o'clock Monday with Rev. W.S. Easton officiating. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery there. About 25 relative and friends from the city attended the service on Monday.
