The Lake Odessa Wave & Times, Thursday, July 15, 1943

Eugene Carey, 73, died at Pennock hospital Wednesday night after several 
months of poor health.  He has been a resident of Sebewa for many years.  
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lida Jarstfer, and a grandson, 
Irving in Lake Odessa.  Funeral arrangements have not been completed as we go 
to press.  

A sister who had lived in Lansing will be buried Saturday.
