Rev. George J. Start officiated and Helen and Virginia Goodsell furnished the music. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery. Mrs. Elva May Vandecar Carey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Vandecar, was born in Easton township, Ionia county, April 30, 1895, and died December 12, 1936 at Jackson, Michigan, aged 41 years, seven months, 13 days. She received her education it the country schools and in the Lake Odessa high school. She was a member of the Methodist church of Berlin. She was married to Leonard Carey in Mulliken, in 1913. Her husband met a very untimely death as a police officer six years ago in Jackson. She leaves to mourn their loss two sons Chalmer, 21, and Daryl, 14, of Jackson. A baby daughter Donaline passed away eight years ago. Besides her sons she leaves her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Vandecar and three brothers, Leon, Clarence, and Arthur, all of Lake Odessa, and a host of relatives and friends. A sister Edna passed away in 1933. Card of Thanks We wish to thank the minister Rev. G. J.
