Feb. 22, 1968 Harold E. Carigon, Sr. 76, of Route 1, Clarksville, retired city employee of Lowell, passed away Sunday at his home. A native of Hope, Michigan, he was the son of Albert and Lovica (McCalla) Carigon and had been a resident of the Clarksville area for 50 years. Mr. Carigon was a member of the Bowne Mennonite Church nearly 50 years. He married Grace E. Kinyon on August 23, 1911. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Anna) Tanis of Grand Rapids and Ms. Russell (Ella) Aspinall of Lowell; four sons, Alert of Grattan, Howard of Grand Rapids, Harry and Harold Jr., both of Lowell; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Tripp of Midland, Mrs. Charles (Thelma) Miller of Palo and Mrs.. Howard (Genna) Preston of Orleans, and two brothers, Bert of Fenwick and Chester of Greenville. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Bowne Mennonite Church. Rev. Daniel Zook and Rev. T. E. Schrock officiated with burial in the Mennonite Cemetery. Mrs. Carigon reposed at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, Clarksville, until Wednesday forenoon.
