Ionia Sentinel Standard, 26 Aug 1994

Lillian Gertrude Carigon, 96, died Tuesday, August 23, 1994, at Blodgett 
Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids.  She was born on July 19, 1898, in 
Grattan, the daughter of Orlow and Grace (Frost) Weeks.

She attended Shiloh Community Church.  

She is survived by three daughters, Francis (DoVine) Hugh of Saranac, Velma 
(Robert) Kernen of Ionia, and Irene Nelson of Grand Rapids; two sons, Neil 
(Hazel) Carigon of Saranac, and Glen (Phyllis) Carigon of Ionia; two sisters, 
Angie Nye of Greenville; one sister-in-law, Glenna Preston of Orleans; 14 
grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bert Carigon, and one daughter, Elsie 
Carigon in 1934.

Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral services will be Saturday 
at 2 p.m. at the Huffman Funeral Home in Belding.  The Rev. Kendall Harger will 
officiate.  Interment will be at Alton Cemetery in Lowell.  Memorials can be 
made to Shiloh Community Church or Ionia Area Hospice.
