Ionia Daily Sentinel, 18 Jan 1943

Funeral services for Carl Carlson, 60, of Ionia township, were held Friday
afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stone funeral home.  Rev. George Woolcock, pastor
of the First Baptist church, officiated and burial was in Highland Park
cemetery.  Pallbearers were Carl Becklund, Victor Hedstrom, Sigurd Oberg, Elmer
Aspgren, Carl Aspgren and John Soderman.

Those who attended the services from away were Eskil A. Edberg; Mamie Edberg and
Charlotte E. Miller of Chicago; Mrs. Oscar Nelson of Brooklyn, New York, Mr. and
Mrs. Adoph Oberg, Mr. and Mrs. Sigurd Oberg, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wickstrom, Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Aspgren, John Soderman, Gus Jernberb and Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Soderman of Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Aspgren and son, Carl, Jr., of Grand
Rapids; William Aspgren of Kalamazoo; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Becklund of Eaton Rapids.
