Born in Sweden, July 10, 1888, he was the son of Par and Elsie Hogman Carlson. He came to the United States with his parents in 1901 and lived in the Clarksville and Alto area since. He was married May 30, 1942, to Anne Hansen. He was a member of Grace and Truth church of Grand Rapids. Surviving are his wife, Anne; son, Jack of Edmore; five grandchildren; four brothers, Alfred and Enoch of Alto, Elmer of Lowell, and Erin of Comstock Park; sister, Mrs. Lydia Anderson of Alto. Mr. Carlson will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Clarksville until noon Thursday when he will be taken to Clarksville Bible church for services at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Bert Baker will officiate with interment at Bowne Church cemetery.
