Hastings Reminder - Saturday June 13, 2026

After fighting a short battle with cancer, MARVIN CARLSON, went to meet his Lord 
and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 1, 2026.

Marvin spent his life serving the Lord by faithfully working alongside his 
parents on the family farm by Alto. He also served by being a friend to all who 
would shake his hand. He was born on August 14, 1936.

Marvin was a great historian of WWII, football, baseball, basketball and family 
history.He amazed one and all with hi s knowledge of dates, names and 
statistics. Not once was it known for Marvin to make a mistake in these areas.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, N.Enoch and Marion Carlson; his 
sister,Joan Letson Potter and his brother, Steven Carlson.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Shirley Carlson; three nieces, Dale & 
Eloise Berry of Hastings, Larry and Joyce Wait of Lake Odessa, and Jana and the 
late Ken Thomas of Middleville He is also survived by three nephews, Roy and 
Sharon Letson of Luther, Randy Carlson of Ludington, Greg and Renee Carlson of 
Lowell. He leaves behind several grand nieces and nephew and several great grand 
nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11am at the Hastings Free 
Methodist Church, 2635 N. Broadway, Hastings. The family will receive visitors 
one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 am. Guests are invited to remain at 
the church for a luncheon and fellowship.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Daniels Funeral Home-Hastings, 1401
