Services for Mrs. Ida Crandell, 77, widow of Charles Crandell, formerly of 
Muir, were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Muir cemetery.  Mrs. Crandell 
died of injuries sustained in a automobile accident several days ago when the 
tire of the automobile in which she was riding near Fowler with her 
granddaughter, Mrs. Bernadine Nicholas, blew out.  Mrs. Crandell lived for 
years on the farm northeast of Muir now owned by William Crandell.  After 
leaving the farm at Muir, Mr. and Mrs. Crandell lived in Grand Rapids and 
after the death of Mr. Crandell 11 years ago she lived with her sons until 18 
months ago when she went to the home of Mrs. Nicholas at Lansing.  She is 
survived by two sons, Bert and Earl, of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. E. 
Jacobs, of Kansas; several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
