Oct. 28, 2016 LORNA LORRAINE CARNEY 1947-2016 Lorna Lorraine Carney (Ainsworth) passed away with her family at her side, Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, after a short illness. Lorna was born Oct. 23, 1947 in Hastings, Michigan, to Rose and Winfield Ainsworth, the youngest of four daughters. She grew up on the family farm in lake Odessa and attended Lakewood schools, She was working for Employers Mutual Insurance Company in Lansing when she met the love of her life, John ("Jinx") Carney. They married and moved up north to Hersey, Michigan where they had a beautiful home on the Muskegon river. After Jinx preceded her in death in 2011, Lorna continued to care for her beloved cats and the wildlife around her home as well as creating beautiful cross stitch art. She will be missed for her loyal friendship, her wicked sense of humor and her kind heart. Lorna is survived by her three sisters, Linda (Keith) Curvey of Kalamazoo, Ann Lee (Allen) Decent of Welaka, Florida and Sarah (Keith) Lambert of Round Lake, Illinois; four nieces; four great-nieces; and two great-nephews. She is also survived by two step-daughters and their families; and many, many friends.
