Belding Banner News, 9 Oct 1918

Death has called another of Orleans’ old people.  Mr. James Carothers, or 
“Uncle Jimmy,” as he was familiarly called, had been in poor health for some 
time and was taken worse about two months ago and he passed away inst 
Wednesday.  Funeral services were held in Orleans M.E. church, Rev. Birdsall, 
officiating.  Interment in Orleans cemetery.
