The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, January 6, 1944
Funeral services for Miss Oma Carothers, 53, of South Ionia, were held 
Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers funeral home.  Rev. F. G. 
Dunbar, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in the 
family lot in Saranac cemetery.  Pallbearers were Leon McQuillan, James 
McBrayne, Fred Williams and Morris Green.
