He had been ill for nearly a month with la grippe, which was complicated by heart trouble. He was 69 years of age and leaves a wife, a daughter, Mrs. George Leach, of Easton, and a step daughter, Miss Myrtie Harwood, to mourn his loss. The funeral will be held Sunday morning at 10 o’clock, at the M.E. church, of which Mr. Carpenter was, for a long period of years, one of the most constant attendants and most loyal supporters, and at the time of his death was an active member of the official board. He will be buried in the Easton cemetery, in which township he formerly resided.
