The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 6, 1950

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtie Carpenter of Portland who died last week in 
the Cook Rest Home on Yeomans street were held at the Banfield funeral home 
Friday afternoon with the Rev. Avery Pastor of the Portland Methodist church, 
officiating.  Interment will be in Portland cemetery.

Her bearers were Claude Plant, John Shay, Peter Trierweiler, Seymour Mull, Roy 
Dawdy and John Minier.

Relatives and friends from out of town at the service were Mr. L. Vance, Mr. 
Johnson, Mrs. Russell Breckon, Mrs. John Hunter, Mrs. Ralph Kernen, Mrs. 
Wesley Turk, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carpenter, Mrs. Ida Cook and Mrs. Glen Hoople 
of Ionia and Mrs. Ila of Lansing.
