Frank Carpenter, son of Robert Carpenter, Commits Suicide At Grand Rapids – Has Been Working There for the Voight Milling Company for Three Years – Leaves a Widow and Three Children. Frank Carpenter, of Grand Rapids, committed suicide at noon today at his home by shooting himself through the heart with a revolver. He was a son of Robert Carpenter of this city and has been away from here about three years. Previous to that time he had been here employed at the Stafford furniture company. Leaving here, he went to Grand Rapids and entered the employ of the Voight Milling company, where he has been at work since. Carpenter left his work as usual this noon and went to his home for dinner. Going up stairs shortly after arriving at his home he fired the shot which went into his heart, killing him instantly. No reason is given for the deed. Carpenter leaves a wife and three children. He was well known here where he lived his early life, attending the Ionia school and working here for many years.
