Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 Dec 1961

Word was received by Mrs. Althea Pilkinton of the death of her brother,
Frederick Galusha Carpenter of San Marino, Calif., December 19.  He was born in
Ionia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Carpenter and attended Ionia high school,
graduating in 1907.  Last April he visited in Ionia.  He was 72 years old.

Besides his twin brother, Dr. George S. Carpenter of San Diego, Calif., he is
survived by his brother, Verne Carpenter of Spokane, Wash., two sisters, Mrs. C.
P. VanDyke, of Clearwater, Fla. and Mrs. Althea Pilkinton of Ionia.  His wife
died 10 years ago.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
