Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 25 Aug 1954

Mrs. Mabelle Carpetner, 68, died Tuesday at the Clark Memorial Home, Grand
Rapids.  Mrs. Carpenter was born April 23, 1886 in Montcalm county.  She had
been a resident of Bloomer township in that county and also of the village of
Lyons, Ionia county.  She was a former school teacher and was a member of the
Palo Methodist church.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Orran Middleton of rural Fenwick.

Funeral services will be held at the Clark Memorial Home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
 The body will be moved to the Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan Thursday
afternoon and Friday at 2 p.m. services will be held at Palo Methodist church. 
Interment will be in Palo cemetery.
