The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, March 30, 1933

James T. Carpenter, 63, a retired farmer from the vicinity of Carson City, 
died Wednesday evening at the home of his niece, Mrs. Richard Smith, 334, 
Front street, following a 10 days illness.  Funeral services will be held at 
the Bradley funeral home Friday afternoon at 2:30.  The burial will be in 
Carson City cemetery. Dr. M. W. Duffey will have charge of the services.

Mrs. Carpenter was born in Carson city and had lived practically all of his 
life in that vicinity. Besides the niece he leaves four nephews, Earl Allen of 
Portland, Charles Allen of Easton, and Leonard and Lyle Allen, Ionia.
