Long Lake Drive, Orleans, died Friday, November 21, at United Memorial Hospital in Greenville. She was born Jan. 14, 1908, in Evergreen Township, Montcalm County, the daughter of James and Mary Belyou. She has been a resident of the Long Lake area for 10 years. She formerly lived in Jackson. She was married to Bob Carpenter on May 28, 1932. Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Sue Koebbe, of Manchester, one son, Jim Carpenter, of Jackson; two sisters, Zola Prosser of Flint and Katie Thurston of Lansing; two brothers, Patrick and Earl Belyou, both of Fenwick; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Belyou. Funeral services will be Monday 1 p.m. at the Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home in Sheridan. The Rev. Kenneth Harger of the Shiloh Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Carpenter, Mike Belyou, Don Boroman, David Prosser, Pat Prosser, and Scott Prosser. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Community Church.
