Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 19 Feb 1958

Mrs. Iza Louise Carpenter, 72, of 845 Water street, Belding, died Wednesday 
morning at Blodgett hospital in Grand Rapids, where she had been a patient for 
three weeks.  She was born February 23, 1885 in Palo, the daughter of Uriah and 
Celista Carpenter.  Her husband, Ralph E. Carpenter, died in 1952.  Mrs. 
Carpenter spent most of her life in Ionia county.  Before entering Blodgett 
hospital she had lived for three months with her son Donald in Newaygo.

Surviving are a son, Donald of Newaygo; one granddaughter, Gloria, and a 
brother, Bert Carpenter of Grand Rapids.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Palo Methodist church.  
Interment is to be in Palo cemetery.  Her body will repose at the Stone-
Kauffman funeral home until noon Saturday.
