Since the death of his wife Mr. Carpenter has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Emory Swank. He is survived by three children: L. A. Carpenter, of Portland, Mrs. Emory Swank, also of Portland, and Mrs. Louis Philos, of Yakima, Wash. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Swank at 1:00 o’clock, Rev.
