Sandra Jean Carr, 41, of Lake Odessa, died Monday.  She was born Feb. 16, 
1946, in Hazzard, Ky., the daughter of Dewey and Lydia (Tackett) Perkins.  She 
was graduated from Lakewood High School in 1964 and was married to William E. 
Carr Sr. on Dec. 26, 1970, in Lake Odessa.  She was employed at Twin City 
Foods-Wyatt Laboratories Division in Lake Odessa.

Survivors include her husband, William; one daughter, Tonya Carr, at home; her 
father and stepmother, Dewey and Lydia Carr of Woodbury; three sisters, Jennie 
(Mrs. Dewel) Hogan of Portland, Van (Mrs. Terrance) Martinez of Grand Rapids 
and Bobbie (Mrs. Marvin) Shade of Woodbury; six brothers, James Perkins of 
Lansing, Paul Perkins of Grand Ledge, Dewey Perkins Jr. of Ionia, J. D. 
Perkins of Holt, Roy Perkins of Marion, N.C., and Mark Perkins of Grand Ledge; 
and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m. from the Koops 
Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, with Rev. Duane Walter of the Woodbury United 
Brethren Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake 
Odessa.  The family will be at Koops Funeral Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at 
the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa.
