Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1 May 1972

Lawrence W. Carr, 58, of 956 Carr, Portland, died Sunday  morning at Ford 
hospital in Detroit after being a patient a week.  He was a Portland 
scoutmaster many years and former employee of Valley City Milling company.  He 
was also a retired Oldsmobile employee.

Surviving besides his wife, Aileen, are three sons, William of Hillsdale; 
Robert and Charles of Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Todd of Cape 
Canaveral, Fla., Mrs. Sandra Pitchford of Portland; 13 grandchildren; mother, 
Mrs. Bernice Carr of Butler, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Grogg and Mrs. Wilma 
Capp of Butler, Ind.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Neller funeral home in 
Portland.  Interment will be at Okemos.
