County News - Thursday, Nov. 25, 1965

LAKE ODESSA- Randy Paul Carr, 13-year old son of Mr. and Ms. Gene Carr of 
804 Sixth avenue, died about 5:30 Monday night in Blodgett Memorial 
hospital, Grand Rapids. He was an eighth grade student at Lakewood junior 
high school and was hospitalized following a heart attack at school. He had 
been in ill health several years.

Randy was born November 23, 1951 in Hastings.

He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic church. He was a former Cub Scout 
and gave up scouting due to his health.

Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Thomas, 12; a sister, Patricia 
Jean, 8; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Thomas of Lake 
Odessa.

Rosary will be recited at Pickens funeral chapel at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edwards Catholic 
church by the Rev. Fr. Raymond Moeggenberg, interment will be at Lakeside 
cemetery.
