The services were at the late residence. Rev. A.B. Lambke officiated. Burial was at Pinkham cemetery and I.O.O.F. rites were used. Mr. Carr was born in Keene township, October 26, 1838, and spent all his life on the farm where he was born up to November, 1897, when he moved to Lowell, which has since been his home. January 15, 1887, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Pinkney, a neighbor and friend from childhood, by whom he is survived. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Frank Cutler of Keene and a host of friends, in appreciation of whom the funeral sermon emphasized Friendship". A brother, James G. died 9 years ago on Thanksgiving day. Mr. Carr was a member of the Moose fraternity and also of the Odd Fellows, by the latter of which his funeral was conducted. His last illness was of eighteen days' duration only, although he had been in ill health for the past year.
