Sentinel-Std. - Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1970

Gerald James Carr, 58, of Ann Arbor, died late Saturday evening of an apparent 
heart heart attack on the way to St. Joseph hospital. He resided at 2184 South 
Main in Ann Arbor.

He was born at Lake City, April 14, 1912, the son of Earl and Ona Carr, February 
14, 1941 he was married to Vera Steele of Ionia. 

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Judi  Reid of Ann Arbor; seven sons, 
Merle and Darwin of Ann Arbor, Gary of Ambridge, Pa., Lanny, stationed with the 
Navy in California, Darryl of Ypsilanti, Nelson and Chandler at home; seven 
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ardith Weirnette of Remus and Mrs. Marjorie 
Strong of Grand Rapids. 

He requested his body be donated to University hospital in Ann Arbor for 
scientific research.
