GAYLORD B. CARR DIES AT HASTINGS

Funeral services for Gaylord B. Carr, 70, of Hastings, who passed away 
unexpectedly Tuesday at the home of Mr and Mrs. Lloyd Shepard, rural Hastings, 
were held Friday at one o'clock at the Girrbach Funeral Home at Hastings, Rev. 
Willard Curtis officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.

He was born at Lake Odessa January 9, 1904, the son of Scott and Augusta 
(Dillenbeck) Carr.

He was a resident of the Woodland area for several years and engaged in farming, 
later moving to Hastings where he owned and operated the Hastings City Cab until 
he retired.

Surviving are a son Jerry of Medina, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs.Gerald (Sharon) 
Hewitt of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs.Myrtle Reed of 
Sunfield.

His wife, the former, Lillian Burton, passed away in January of 1963.
