Scott Carr, 73, of Lake Odessa, and a retired farmer, died at 10:30 p.m. 
Saturday, Sept. 19 at Pennock hospital in Hastings where he had been a patient 
for several days.

He was born October 17, 1879 son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Carr of Odessa 
township.  He had spent all his life in this area except for 20 years spent in 
Weidman and Belding, and had lived in the village about 27 years.  He and his 
wife, the former Ella Dillenbeck, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 
1949.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. William Reed of Lake Odessa; one 
son, Gaylord of Woodland; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

He reposes at the Pickens Chapel where services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 
23 at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Durkee 
of Hickery Corners and the Rev. Max Ovenshire of Pleasant Valley officiating.
